How Diabetes Happens? Can I prevent or reverse it?
Diabetes is a chronic disease and it takes years before it’s diagnosed. Decades of excess sugar, refined carbohydrates and processed food keep our metabolic system unhealthy. Our daily sugar levels are high and so is our insulin, but our insulin keeps working and keeps our blood glucose in normal range. However, with this excessive work, our pancreas becomes tired, and our insulin becomes less sensitive. This means that after 10-15 years of bad food habits, we are finally diagnosed with diabetes. However, if we control of refined carbohydrates intake, stop process and sugary food, then our system will correct itself and we may prevent diabetes forever. If we already have diabetes, just going low-carb, will reverse it as well. Please listen to the details in video and see which test you need to know if the process inside your body is working fine or if you are at risk of getting diabetes.
