Apple Cider Vinegar has proved to increase insulin sensitivity in patient with insulin resistance and diabetes. It reduces the blood spikes after carbohydrate rich meal due to acetic acid that slows down stomach emptying. Because of fermentation, it also helps your gut bacteria and and it has been proved scientifically to improve insulin resistance. On top of it there is a famous hadith that says “sab se acha salan sirka hey”. I was speaking to one of a famous diabetic doctors in Egypt last week, who is a friend as well and he supported this fact that he has seen improvement in diabetic patient when they started using apple cider vinegar one tablespoon in a glass of water before going to bed and one tablespoon in a glass of water in the morning empty stomach. This resets the body metabolic system and you will see insulin sensitivity increased a great deal. There are three important things to see in your apple cider vinegar before buying which are;
– It should have written on it “with the mother”
– it should be unpasteurized
– it should be unfiltered If its organic its best but you can use non-organic as well.
